International Distinction for the Alexandrou Chora – The Great project

Kourtidis Group took part in the Pitch Perfect competition at the IHIF EMEA 2026 in Berlin, earning the highest distinction. The flagship project Alexandrou Chora – The Great, located in Ofrynio Beach, secured 1st place among dozens of outstanding international entries. The development includes a five-star resort already under construction, a luxury village, and a cultural center.

The scale and influence of this global leading forum for hospitality and investment give this achievement national significance. The Pitch Perfect competition at IHIF EMEA brings together CEOs from major global corporations and is widely regarded as the place “where the biggest deals are made”. Projects are presented before leading investors, funds, and major brands actively seeking opportunities. According to official estimates, participating investors represent capital exceeding $580 billion.

The process is often likened to a different kind of “Dragon’s Den,” with projects evaluated based on vision, sustainability, and investment appeal. The competition began on March 25, with Alexandrou Chora – The Great initially selected among just 20 projects. It then advanced to the final round as one of the top three finalists, presenting again before a distinguished panel of judges. Following deliberation, the project was ultimately awarded first place at the Pitch Perfect of IHIF EMEA 2026, standing out for its exceptional investment potential.

A strong message to the global investment community

Representing the Greek group at the forum were President Nikos Kourtidis, Vice President Konstantina Dimitrova, and Chief Operating Officer Karl Chehab, who also led the overall presentation.

In statements following the announcement, Mr. Kourtidis noted: “With humility, yet with a clear awareness of the importance of this moment, we move forward. This distinction offers strong international visibility for the project within the investment community, enhances the Group’s credibility, and provides direct access to major capital and global partnerships”.

Ms. Dimitrova emphasized that reaching the top at Pitch Perfect is not merely an award, but a signal to the global market that something significant is on the horizon: “Alexandrou Chora is the overarching platform comprising five landmark developments announced and underway by Kourtidis Group. The Great is the first to launch, and at Pitch Perfect it did not merely participate but it established itself as one of the projects set to attract the most powerful investment capital worldwide”.

Mr. Chehab, for his part, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Roger A. Allen, Group CEO of the RLA Global, who supported the entire preparation process as a mentor. Reflecting on the experience, he stated: “The scale of the institution, along with the caliber of the panel and audience, made this unlike any other presentation. However, the strength and quality of our project gave me confidence. Ultimately, the presentation proved to be a unique opportunity for dialogue with the international market, exchange of ideas, and the development of new relationships with investors and partners from around the world.”
