The “2nd Tourism Festival – By Kourtidis Group” was completed with big success
The „Tourism Festival”, organized for the second consecutive year by the Kourtidis Group of Companies, was completed with great success, aiming to highlight important points of interest in the wider region of Kavala, Drama, Serres and Thassos. A festival dedicated to destinations that can be explored and enjoyed by visitors at any time of the year.
The festival took place again this year in the specially designed gardens of the Kourtidis Group headquarters in Ofrynio Beach from Thursday 4 July to Saturday 6 July, with free entrance for all. It was three wonderful summer evenings for the hundreds of visitors, who through stylish stands with pictures, projections, posters and printed material, discovered the great „hidden secrets” of the wider region.
The basic philosophy of this initiative is the development, promotion and enhancement of the area, through a non-profit festival. The aim of the Kourtidis Group of Companies is to introduce everyone to the great points of interest in the Prefectures of Kavala, Drama and Serres and at the same time to create attractive destinations that will become a significant emerging force in tourism. The festival has been organized to support and strengthen the great efforts made by the institutions of local government to promote this place and has now become a great institution.
At the glamorous opening ceremony, a beautiful surprise awaited the attendees. The presenter of the evening was the unique Eftychis Bletsas, a man who became known through his special tourist shows and whose name is directly linked to tourism and destination exploration. Also present were the Member of Parliament of Kavala Makarios Lazaridis, the Deputy Head of Tourism Panagiotis Archontis, the Deputy Head of Development, Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Social Economy Alexandros Iosifidis, the Mayor of Paggaio Philipos Anastasiadis, the Mayor of Drama George Papadopoulos, the Mayor of Amphipolis Stergios Frastanis, the Mayor of Nea Zichni Pantelis Bozis, the Deputy Mayor of Tourism of the Municipality of Thassos Ioannis Markianos, the Deputy Mayor of Tourism of the Municipality of Drama Ioannis Georgiadis, the Deputy Mayor of Civil Protection and in charge of Oniroupolis Christos Mavridis, the Deputy Mayor of Paranesti George Giailoglou, the Deputy Mayor of Tourism of the Municipality of Nevrokopi Eleni Amvrosiadou and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Kavala Markos Dempas.
„We consider it our duty to the place that hosts our activity to seek ways to say „thank you” and to return with positive initiatives all the good things it offers us. It is our obligation to reciprocate and so we find ways and take actions that give satisfaction to all the people who reside or visit our place” said the President of Kourtidis Group Mr. Nikos Kourtidis.
Kourtidis Group’s Vice President Mrs. Konstantina Dimitrova, expressed her emotion, stressing: „This place that we all love and now have a fixed date with every year, has not only amazing sea and wonderful beaches. This place has many undiscovered beauties that can -not only fill the days of tourists, but make every visit a special experience and in the end it is the beauties that will make our visitors love our region even more.”
The parallel events
One of the many surprises of the Festival was the parallel operation of a unique Instagram Theme Park, with free admission for the public. Three-dimensional constructions formed a special frame of summer photos for young and old alike. In addition, visitors were able to enjoy a special guided tour of a summer Cine History, on the unique history of Amphipolis and Kasta Hill.
