4th annual Kourtidis Group & RE/MAX Choice Conference: Two days of knowledge, strategy and vision
Surprise Announcement: Angela Gerekou appointed Strategic Advisor to Kourtidis Group
The 4th Annual Conference of Kourtidis Group and RE/MAX Choice was successfully held on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November 2025 at the Grand Hotel Palace in Thessaloniki. Under the central theme RE/evolution, this year’s conference focused on the future of Real Estate, technological advancement, and strategic development, offering all participants valuable insights, inspiration, and meaningful networking opportunities.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of Kourtidis Group’s new collaboration with Angela Gerekou, who assumes the role of Strategic Advisor to the Board, an announcement shared for the first time with the Group’s executives and partners. The conference also featured a greeting from Giannis Papageorgiou, Head of the Prime Minister’s Office for Northern Greece.
Two days filled with ideas, knowledge and perspective
The first day centered on strategy, innovation, and service enhancement. Stelios Samoladas, Regional Director of RE/MAX Greece, presented market forecasts for 2026, while Konstantinos Eleftheriadis, Digital Operations & IT Director of Kourtidis Group, showcased the next era of the Group’s digital transformation. Participants then toured an exhibition of technological tools, exploring capabilities such as virtual tours, 3D printing, and new customer-focused digital applications.
The day continued with a series of talks on positioning, customer service, and operational optimization, led by Stelios Aggloupas, CEO of Signature Europe. International RE/MAX Israel Coach Gil Li-Ran captivated the audience with two practical training sessions on the customer journey, service excellence, and database management. Meanwhile, in parallel breakout rooms, Giannis Tzintzoglou, Training & Business Development at RE/MAX Greece, analyzed partner development models, and Haris Livanos, HR Executive & Lecturer in Business Psychology, presented a dynamic perspective on team cohesion.
Announcing a major strategic collaboration
A defining moment of the conference was the announcement of the Group’s collaboration with Angela Gerekou, who joins as Strategic Advisor to the Management of Kourtidis Group. A figure of significant influence in Greek tourism and culture, Ms. Gerekou has served as Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports (2009) and Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism (2014), actively contributing to the international promotion of Greece. An architect and actress with a distinguished career, she also served for six years as President of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO), leading the most successful period in Greek tourism, marked by historic records and substantial growth.
In her brief address, Ms. Gerekou highlighted the region’s strong development potential and its capacity to strengthen its presence on the global tourism and investment map. Official announcements and details of the collaboration will be presented soon during a scheduled press conference.
Parallel activities during the conference
A special side event honored the recent distinctions of the Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace and the Municipality of Thassos at the World Travel Awards 2025. A greeting was delivered by Giannis Papageorgiou, while the awards were received by Panagiotis Archontis, Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism (EMTH), and Giannis Markianos, Deputy Mayor of Tourism of Thassos, who underlined the importance of collaboration between public institutions and the private sector in strengthening regional tourism.
The team and vision driving tomorrow
The second day opened with RE/envision, a live on-stage dialogue between Nikos Kourtidis, President & CEO, and Konstantina Dimitrova, Vice President of Kourtidis Group. The discussion unfolded as an open conversation on the Group’s journey, values, and philosophy, with both leaders sharing personal insights, strategic priorities, and their vision for the decade ahead.
Mr. Kourtidis stressed: “The strength of our Group lies in our people. The progress we presented today is not theoretical. It is the result of daily effort, collaboration, and a shared belief in a greater goal to elevate Northern Greece and create real value for society and our partners.”
Ms. Dimitrova added: “Our team is the source of the energy that propels us forward. When you look at all our people gathered together, you realize that vision is not abstract. It is alive, evolving through every partner, every department, every contribution.” The dialogue highlighted the major projects currently underway, the importance of extroversion, and the Group’s strategic vision of establishing Northern Greece as an international investment and tourism hub.
Later, Apostolos Aivalis, CEO of Knowcrunch, equipped participants with practical tools and insights into modern digital solutions for Real Estate. The conference concluded with Panos Dimakis, author, translator, and public speaker widely known to Greek audiences from Mega Channel’s game show The Chase as “The Hawk.” His educational session “RE/tain – RE/call: Learning How to Learn” offered practical methods for effective learning and personal development.
This year’s RE/evolution conference demonstrated that progress is not only about strategy but about cultivating a forward-thinking mindset. The energy of the participants, the engagement in every activity, and the presence of distinguished speakers shaped an event that left a strong imprint and set the direction for the next chapter of Kourtidis Group.
