Meeting between the management of Kourtidis group and the Minister of Environment

Kourtidis Group of companies, when it comes to matters of the environment, fully follows the basic philosophy and the sensitivity that its owners have, in their daily activity.

This special particularity was the reason and the need for the president Nikos Kourtidis and the vice president of the group Konstantina Dimitrova to meet the Minister of Environment and Energy Kostas Skrekas. He hosted them in his office and there they had the opportunity to develop all the “green” details and the strong environmental footprint of the Alexandrou Chora Project, which is the new large investment of the group in Ofrynio Beach – Costa Ofrynio.

Mr. Skrekas showed great interest in all the energy and green actions that will be applied in total in all the phases of the construction and the operation of the new complex. The minister stated that “…it is very important to make large investments in the country and even more important to design them with sensitivity and the protection of the environment in mind”.

The president of Kourtidis group Nikos Kourtidis thanked Mr. Skrekas for the meeting, stressed the comparative advantages of the area and presented the sections of Alexandrou Chora that within 175,000 sq. m. will include the creation of a luxurious hotel Resort, a Spa Hotel, a small Village of 200 houses and a theme park. In addition, he stated that “we are investing in this place not because it happened by chance, nor because it was the only option we had. We invest because we love it, we believe in it, and we ache for it. In this area we love every little thing that exists in it. We adore its nature, and we believe it is unique, thanks to all the living beings that live here. These “beliefs” that we have, will be reflected in each of our investments.

Not even one intervention for the greenery, for the waste, for the energy sources etc. proceeds without a serious study.

From her side, the vice president of the Group, Mrs. Konstantina Dimitrova, described all the business activity, but also the development perspective that begins now through the company’s initiatives, by attracting large investments. During the meeting, she explained to the minister that “this project will change the general economic and social status of the region and will further develop the tourist dynamics of our place”.

At the same time, she pointed out that it is impressive that large investment groups have already approached the group, as well as individual businessmen from abroad, to participate as investors in this activity.
