Before the pandemic, the holiday home market was one of the fastest growing sectors of real estate. This year, according to real estate market insiders, the strengthening of demand for holiday homes in our country seems to be greatly favored by the very good performance recorded by tourism, but also the significantly lower prices than other Mediterranean – European destinations.

It is no coincidence that until recently visitors to Northern Greece are now looking for a holiday home in a destination they have come to know and love, aiming to acquire their own shelter for the summer. It is worth noting, as shown by the recent nationwide survey by RE/MAX Hellas, that the highest rate of return on tourist properties nationwide is found, after the Cyclades and Crete, which reaches 7%, in Northern Greece with 6%.
